VisitShinjuku.com – Get ready, Trainers — the Pokémon Stamp Rally is back for 2025! This beloved summer tradition, brought to life by JR East and The Pokémon Company, transforms the Tokyo train system into a massive real-world adventure.
Running from July 18 to August 31, the event invites fans of all ages to travel across Tokyo and surrounding areas by train, stopping at participating JR East stations to collect exclusive Pokémon character stamps. Think of it as a Pokedex brought to life: pick up a stamp booklet, ride the rails, and unlock rewards along the way.
What’s New in 2025?
This year’s edition of the JR East Pokémon Mega Stamp Rally features 36 different stations (Include Shinjuku Station) across the Tokyo metropolitan region. The concept mirrors the games—build your team one Pokémon at a time as you explore new neighborhoods, discover iconic stations, and level up your travel adventure.
Participants can earn tiered rewards based on the number of stamps they collect — from limited-edition Pokémon merchandise to rare trading cards and collectibles. Whether you’re a casual fan or aiming to complete the entire rally, there’s something for everyone.

Pro Tips Before You Ride
Most stamp locations are outside the ticket gates, which means you’ll need to tap out using your IC card at each stop to access the stamp area. Be aware: even if you re-enter the same station, your card will still be charged. To save money and maximize your trip, consider purchasing a JR Tokyo Free Ticket, which allows unlimited travel on JR East lines for the day.
Where to Find the Stamps
Below is the full list of all 36 participating stations, along with the corresponding Pokémon character at each location. We’ve included both the official English and Japanese names for your convenience. Stations marked with an asterisk (*) are part of Stage 2, which offer additional challenges and exclusive prizes.
